Windows 95/98

1. Delete the old shortcut from the desktop.

2. Double click on My Computer.

3. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.

4. Double click on Make New Connection and type in myVine in 'Name of Computer'.

5. Enter the dial-up phone number, make sure that the number is local before you dial it.

6. Click then click .

7. Right click on myVine, left click on Properties.

8. Remove the check marks from 'Dial using area code'.

9. Click on the Server Types tab.

10. Remove the check marks from 'Log onto network', 'NetBEUI', and 'IPX/SPX'.

11. Click

12. Right click on myVine , left click on Create a Shortcut.

 

Windows ME (Millenium Edition)

1. Delete the old shortcut from the desktop.

2. Double click on My Computer.

3. Double click on Control Panel.

4. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.

5. Double click on Make New Connection.

6. Enter the dial-up phone number, make sure the number is local before you dial it.

7. Click then click .

8. Right-click on myVine, left click on Properties.

9. Remove the checkmark from 'Dial using area code'.

10. Click

11. Right click on myVine, left click on Create a Shortcut.

 

Windows XP

1. Click on Start.

2. Navigate to All Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> New Connection Wizard.

3. Select 'Connect using a dial-up modem' and click .

4. Type ISP name as myVine. Click .

5. Enter the dial-up phone number, (make sure that the number is local before you dial it.)

6. Enter the username.

7. Enter the password.

8. Remove the check from 'Use the Internet Firewall'.

9. Place a checkmark next to 'Add a Shortcut to this Connection to my Desktop'.

10. Click , then click .

11. Delete your old shortcut from your desktop.

 

Windows NT

1. Double click on My Computer.

2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.

3. Create a new Phone book entry, and name it as myVine, then click .

4. Place a checkmark next to the first two options.

5. Enter the dial-up phone number (make sure the number is local before you dial it).

6. Click , then click .

7. To connect to the internet, press the dial button on the Dial-Up Networking.

8. Enter your user name and your password. You may choose whether or not to save your password, depending on your preferences.

9. Press to begin dialing.
